Harold died June 5 in Westminster California. She was cared for by Family Colonial Funeral Home and laid to rest at Westminster Cemetery.
Anna Elizabeth Crone nee Walsh died at 72 at Christ Hospital following a Friday June 9 passing. Memorial services were 5 P.M. and vigil prayers 7:30 P.M. Sunday at Jackman Funeral Home. A Mass of Resurrection was held Monday June 12 at St John the Baptist Church with interment at St John Cemetery. Survived by 3 sons Paul Thomas and James Crone 3 daughters Mary Cassidy Madeline Vonderhaar and Betty Hopp erton 17 grandchildren and sister Mrs William O Connor.
Thirty members of J. B. Yeager Auxiliary Unit 199 enjoyed a Sunset Inn buffet on June 5 marking the last meeting of 1971 72. They will meet in September at the Legion Home, install officers June 17 in a joint ceremony with the Post, and pursue a Sept membership drive. The unit reached a 191 member quota and endorsed funds for the children and veterans restricted poppy drive. Local activities included memorial day parade participation, donations to Cincinnati VA hospital and Longview, and plans to expand the Legion Home with a new kitchen.
Daughters of Isabella Circle 214 met June 6 for their monthly session. Regent Aurelia Bollen reported on the 41st annual Ohio State Convention while Past Regent Rita Kunze was reelected State Trustee. National Circle plans the bi annual convention in Chicago from July 31 to August 4 to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee.

Past Regent Rita Kunze will attend the convention as delegate from Mary Circle 214 for its 50th anniversary. The event on April 6 at Dante's celebrates unity and charity. Catherine Stegman joins St Mary Circle as a new member. the circle has collected 48 000 lbs of glass for recycling.

The Harrison Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary hosts a social on Thursday evening June 15 at 7:30 and 8 PM at the American Legion Home Harrison Ohio. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends and family and arrive early to mingle before the Early Bird games. Mamie Acra Pub Chr reported.

The Harrison Inteco Knothole team posted a 2-1 league record with an overall 4-1, featuring players Richard Bates Paul Brotherton Steve Brech Jerry Brewer Mark Cooper Bill Crone Steve Ferraris Bob Graden Mark Gulley Doug Hubbard Dean Meece Jim Niehaus Kirk Nixon Pete Nolan Don Peak Ralph St. John Wayne Thacker and Kenny Werner under manager Roy Nixon. They defeated Lawrenceburg 11-0 and Addyston 6-2 in two extra innings, then beat Lawrenceburg 9-2 and drop to 2-1 league play. The Knothole squad planned to host Lawrenceburg and then play Thursday.
Kiwanis Pee Wee beat Campbell-Hausfeld 28 to 9 to stretch their streak to five games. A Williams went 4 for 5 with a second inning grand slam, L French 3 for 4 and seven RBI, plus multiple teammates collecting two or three hits. Four Kiwanis pitchers combined for the win as the club faces Highlands while Campbell-Hausfeld meets 1st National on Thursday June 15.
The Kiwanis Peewees defeated the Miami Streets Heights Green Hornets in a D division game. The win showcased the Peewees’ quick passing and solid defense as they pulled away in the second half.
French pitched the last three innings striking out Siene Kunt single in the second. Danny earned his first hit after a season sidelined by a broken arm. J Briscoe impressed behind the plate for Kiwaris as Knothole play kept Jim in control on every pitch.
Harrison beat Cincinnati by exploiting five errors and nine hits as they scored eleven runs. Back and Harrison contributed two hits each while Harrison’s defense allowed ten errors leading to five unearned runs. Lanning started for Harrison with four strikeouts in his first season outing. Next Sunday Harrison faces Burney at Burney Indiana at 2 PM Indiana time.
