Wanda Haas Named Tax Commissioner by Harrison Council
Wanda Haas was appointed the City of Harrison Tax Commissioner by a council majority. Haas, an eight year employee of the tax department, has largely handled duties under the ill health of George Schiele. Mayor Harry Rolfes supported her, while two Republicans abstained. The council also approved the lowest bid for road widening on New Haven Road, funded partly by Hamilton County Road Tax funds, and formed a committee to study city vehicle replacements. Haas was approved to attend a tax seminar.
