Spring Lake Bottom Trail Hike Brings 89 Scouts All In
In Ten onkah District 89 boy scouts from 11 troops joined the Spring Lake Bottom Trail Hike weekend. Troop 72 led Friday's 1.5 mile first leg to the camp site then faced a rugged five mile Saturday route with deer vultures and goats spotted along the way. Robert Bunz of Brookville spoke on local history. Sunday another five miles ended with songs and jokes as all seven Troop 72 members reported a great time.

Boy scouts from New Trenton led by Ron Galven hiked the Lake Bottom Trail stopping at the Overlook Sunday afternoon to view the area they covered. The Hike-a-ree participants carried equipment first aid and communications for emergencies.
