The Harrison P T A offers a dancing program for children 4 and up with several tap and jazz classes. Sessions run promptly at 3 15 with a half hour length and a limit of 10 students per class. For information call Marilee Bros cheid at 367 6325.
The North Dearborn Rescue unit announces a meeting on June 5, 1975 at 7 PM at Bright Fire House. Members will work on by laws and urge attendance and involvement from the community.
Clara Ann Wolff, the former , will be Miss Radenheimer among the 118 graduates of the nursing program.
Registration day Monday offers Grade 1-4 from 9 to 12 and Grades 5-8 from 1 to 4. Tuesday features Name Tages while Wednesday hosts Shrink Art preparing for Father’s Day. Thursday and Friday focus on Jing A activities.
Sharon Webster of East Central High School and Kirk Morris of Wm. Henry Harrison High School will attend Operation Youth at Xavier University Cincinnati June 7 to 14 1975. The program offers discussion groups and activities to broaden student awareness and leadership. Sharon is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Roy Webster of Harrison Ohio and the event supports local community organizations.
Jay Carroll son of Mr and Mrs Jack Carroll won a gold medal in the SO yard dash at U C Field House Cincinnati May 17 He has been selected to run in the State Finals in Columbus Ohio in about three weeks.
The Miamitown Bridge reopened with a 25 ton load limit after 15 months of closure. Officials note the bridge's distinctive thick steel floor enhances safety and durability. Final painting was partly completed during ribbon cuttings on June 2 3 and 4. The delay caused significant losses for the Miamitown Life Squad and Fire Department.
The Okeana Methodist Church in Okeana Ohio hosts an open house for Lotes E Brown aged 90 on Sunday June 8 from 2 to 4 pm. Brown celebrates his 90th birthday on June 11 and invites friends to attend in person or send greetings.
The East Central High School band, a 250 member group, will deliver a 25 minute marching show Sunday afternoon June 8 at Riverfront Stadium between Reds and Cubs double header games. The program includes Military Drill Jazz and dance steps and features an 18 member majorette corps with drum major Kim Stith and feature twirler Debbie Fox. Marching officers are Monte Cole and Mark Lewis. Majorette captain is Brian Swales.
Police report a string of break-ins in Harrison over Memorial Day weekend with cars damaged by a pellet gun and several businesses and homes hit. Drugs were stolen from medical offices, a money bag from a gas station, and a window air conditioner taken from a residence as investigators seek tips.
Harrison High School alumni plan a private tour dinner and fellowship on June 21 starting at 6 p.m. The event costs 3.50 per plate with reservations due by June 13. Tickets available at Alf and Tom's Service Buck's Del Harrison Cleaners Village Pharmacy and other local spots. For details call 367-9909.
The Open Charity Horse Show took place Sunday June 1 at the Lloyd Curry farm on Baughman Road in Harrison. Beneficiaries included the Children’s Hospital Research Center in Cincinnati.
