Ice and low visibility trigger 1-275 crash spree
A string of crashes tied to icy roads and limited visibility on 1-275 southbound began around 8:00 a.m. Two tanker trucks carrying jet fuel narrowly avoided the pileups as a chain reaction involved cars, a semi, and a horse trailer. Six vehicles were towed, two people seriously injured, four minor incidents occurred northbound with no injuries, and letters are due by December 20 at 10:00 a.m.
Harrison City Seeks 98000 For Road Work
Hamilton County officials plan to meet with County Commissioners to push for 98000 for New Haven Road. County Engineer Donald Schram recommended the funds as part of a 5 road tax distribution for Hamilton County communities. Possible Strike Averted In Indiana Fire and Board Vote
A fire on Saturday December 7 at 7 00 a m at 136 Harrison Avenue caused an estimated 68000 damage confined to the garage with an electrical cause cited by Kinnett and a well built house containing a firewall. Also, 120 non teaching employees vote Tuesday December 10 on a three year contract, with tentative agreement reached Sunday between district negotiators and Local 178 Ohio Association of Public Employees. A ten day notice to the board and the State Employment Relations Board is required to call a strike, while sixty three union members attended Sunday’s session.
