Ex-govt worker charged with fake tips in Capitol riot
Miguel Eugenio Zapata, 37, was arrested in Chantilly Virginia on charges of making false statements after submitting at least seven anonymous tips to the FBI alleging seven government employees and contractors were involved in the January 6 Capitol attack. The tips, sent from four IPs via a web anonymizer, claimed conspiracies and motives but court records say none of the named individuals were present at the riot. The FBI notes Zapata previously worked with all seven, including one who hired him, and that tip content referenced classified information and far Right groups. More than 1,300 people have been charged in the riot.

Cemetery signs honor Canfields and Blake family in Network to Freedom designation
The Friends of the Cemetery unveiled two memorial signs for H G and Eliza Beth Blake and Lt Col Herman and Martha Canfield after Spring Grove was named a National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom site. A dedication ceremony will be held May 10 at 11 a.m. in section 5, Spring Grove Cemetery, 775 E Washington St, Medina. Public welcome. rain or shine. Parking available.
