Woods Restore Old Home Near Chatham For Family Space
Mr and Mrs Roger Wood and five children are rebuilding a pre Civil War house on Route 76 near the square. They bought the neglected home to gain land and space, plan to finish wiring plumbing and floors, and involve the children in the project as a hands on learning experience. The work reveals 12 inch hand hewn beams, solid frame and wooden pegs, multiple wallpaper layers, and a four story tower with a view of the area. The Woods moved from Olmsted Falls, with two older sons Tom and Alan remaining there and the others Beth 17 a Cloverleaf senior.
