Patrol Breakdown Shows April May Traffic Accidents
State Highway Patrol Medina Post links improper speed for conditions to over 70 percent of April and May crashes. May totals include 158 accidents, 103 injured, two deaths, with 72 percent due to speed, 30 percent failure to yield, 12 percent mechanical failure, 11 percent improper passing, and about 8 percent involve drinking drivers. April crashes total 139 with 84 injured and three fatalities, causes split 29 percent yield issues and 10 percent mechanical failure, with about 8 percent drinking drivers.

Lorain Medina Rural Electric Cooperative Inc will hold nominating meetings for trustees to be elected at the annual meeting on Aug 4.
