Wall Street sinks further as inflation fight spooks investors
The S&P 500 slid 116.96 to 3900.86, the Dow dropped 880 to 31392.79, and the Nasdaq fell 414.20 to 11340.02 as rates and inflation fears roil markets. Investors warn higher rates could trigger a recession while food and energy costs add pressure, with tech giants and consumer names among the hard hit.
