Man Indicted for Death Penalty in Officer Slayings
A 19-year-old man, David McDaniel, was re indicted by a Cleveland grand jury on capital murder charges for the slayings of undercover Detective James Skernivitz and informant Scott Dingess in September. Two juvenile suspects, ages 15 and 17, were charged with aggravated murder and could be tried as adults. Skernivitz had just joined a federal violent crime task force the day before his death. McDaniel’s arraignment is set for Thursday.
