Highland Board Offers Assistant Supt Contract
Highland Board at a special meeting offered Arthur C. Clevidence a two year assistant superintendent contract with an approximate salary of 17 700 per year. Clevidence has been in the Brunswick School System as director of elementary curriculum and was Hinckley Elementary principal from 1960 to 1968. He also serves as mayor of Seville and has two terms on the Seville Board of Public Affairs. He and his wife Mary live at 94 Liberty St with four children. A public budget hearing is set for July 10 for an estimated 1 913 000.

Chippewa Swim Sign Up Ends July 8 at Beach
Final registration for Chippewa on the Lake Red Cross Learn to Swim program is set for Saturday July 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at the beach. Ten lessons run July 10 through July 21 on weekdays at 11 a.m. Beach fee is one dollar per student. Barbara Harvey, of Walnut Drive, received $50 at the Fourth of July ceremonies at Chippewa Lake, tied to Cloverettes 4-H Club. If rain blocks Saturday sign up, registration moves to the Chippewa on the Lake Women's Club House.

Burglary Reported At Medina Home
Medina deputies report a breaking and entering at John Ballard's residence 7160 Beach Road on Tuesday between 4 and 8 30 p m. A sliding door was forced open and bedroom drawers were ransacked. Stolen items include a 20 gauge shotgun valued at 75 dollars a portable stereo with two speakers worth 175 dollars and 60 dollars in cash totaling 310 dollars.
