Members of the Youth Corps of St Francis Xavier Church plan a Summer Carnival for Crestview Nursing Home residents. The event is set for Saturday in July with Youth Corps members meeting Mondays at 7 pm in the school to finish carnival booths.
Vacation Bible school sponsored by York United Methodist Church runs Monday to Thursday July 17 20 and 24 47 at the Mallet Creek church. The eight day two hour sessions from 930 to 1130 a.m. cost fifty cents registrations directed by Mrs Betty Dinn 6119 Norwalk Road with lead teachers Judy Canfield Ruth Brintnall Mae Dean and Sandra Drestler for various age groups children ages three through sixth grade may enroll regardless of church affiliation.
Rev. David Calvert of the Church of the Nazarene serves as athletic director for the district boys and girls camp at the Central Ohio District Center in Columbus through July 7. He oversees about 500 youngsters with assist Steve Bilharz of 3760 Fenn Road. Local attendees include Scott Boothe Stephen Buckland Douglas Buckland and Wayne Foster. Calvert plans to return Sunday to conduct services at his church.
Medina report notes that women from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church will publish a cookie recipe book to be sold at the October bazaar. Kathy Hogrefe serves as editor and publisher as members submit recipes with names and addresses.
