Two dead, one seriously hurt in Medina crash on Route 162
A 77-year-old man died and a 75-year-old driver suffered life threatening injuries after a Thursday afternoon single vehicle crash on Route 162. The 77 year old was pronounced dead at Akron General Lodi Hospital. The driver was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center. The Medina County Sheriff's Office leads the investigation with mutual aid from local fire districts.

Kevin Holler foundation grows from tragedy to scholarship
After Medina County deputy Kevin Holler died in 2015, his widow Courtnay Holler launched annual horseshoe benefits and the Kevin Holler Foundation. Donations fund a law enforcement scholarship and support the Medina County Sheriff's Office, with plans for a career center based scholarship as well. Friends organized Buckin Ohio bull riding to raise funds, drawing law enforcement support and about $4,000 raised for the foundation last night.
