Conductor Lucas on the express from Boston to New York reports a fatal accident near East Foxboro when a Mansfield butcher named Lawrence drove across the track into a fast-moving train. The horse and man were killed. four passenger cars left the track, with one Providence man seriously injured and several others bruised.
Buffalo July 16 Patrick Morrisey convicted of murdering his mother was sentenced yesterday to be hanged in September. The judge warned him there would be no pardon. The crime was committed just three weeks ago.
