M. John Sherman was re elected U S Senator by a 140 vote total this morning. The breakdown shows Sherman 73 votes while Perry Schenck Cox and Morgan received 1 1 5 and 60 votes respectively.
Sprague Colburn & Co. suspended with liabilities near one million dollars. Third Avenue Savings Bank run continues with $1.35 million paid out. Fire at a stable on First Avenue damages horses and a blacksmith shop. Curling match at Central Park draws large crowd. North Clubs win Dalrymple Medal by 18 shots. Billiards match planned.
