The Paris bulletin says Teutonic artillery violently shelled Italian positions on Hill No 100 in the Monastir sector while Bulgar German forces tried a surprise near Vetrenik and were repulsed. Airmen bombed Seres and Angiste. duels lingered along the Struma and Vardar basins near Monastir. Separately a Boston fire killed James Murray four, with $75,000 damage. Emperor Charles joined German officials at headquarters as talks on the Italian front loom. Belgian troops raided a German post north of Dixmude amid ongoing front artillery activity.
Paris officials issued a decree to curb stockpiling for meatless days, prohibiting the purchase of more than 2000 grammes of meat on Tuesdays. The rule aims to enforce rationing and ensure equal access to meat across the week.
