Ostend Harbor Secured After Zeebrugge Style Raid
British aviators photographed Ostend harbor confirming the Friday morning attack on the submarine base succeeded. Body of Canoeist Found In River
The body of John R. Driscoll of Meriden, 17, drowned in the Connecticut river from a canoe on April 22, was found yesterday afternoon near the crash site by John F. Walker and Edward J. Quigley of Portland. Medical Examiner C. A. Sears authorized removal to Meriden. Driscoll, employed in the New Haven road signal department, left a mother and siblings. The drowning followed rough river conditions after the group borrowed a canoe.
