Heavy rainfall drenched Esti last Saturday causing floods and transport disruption along the Satile Central railway line. On Monday and Tuesday mornings a meter of rain fell raising total precipitation to .72 inches as residents brace for more wet spell impacts across the eastern states.

In Mountainair Precinct 15 a primary convention chose W. M. McCoy as delegate and Dario Sanches as alternate to the county convention. The group adopted resolutions urging support for Edward A. Mann of Alamogordo as Delegate to Congress and for instructing Santa Fe delegates to back Mann.
A group of about a dozen young people left Tuesday morning on a mountain outing near Torreon. Authorities fear they may kill or drive out large game before returning. The party includes Misses Avis Brumback Anna McGhee Clara Pence Jessie Jackson Burruss Collins McEmeyer Mesars and others plus Fred Tuttle Jack Tuttle Lee Aaron Lonnie Weaver Jesse McGhee A W Jarney and Rev Carver.
