Death Penalty Paid by Slayers of Brazell in Olympia
The State reports that S J Kirby 36, Jesse J Gappins 23 and C C Fox 32 were executed by electric chair at the state penitentiary for the murder of William Brazell, a Columbia transfer driver. Kirby showed defiance then weakness, Gappins and Fox spoke brief pleas and expressed belief the truth had not been told. Kirby, Gappins and Fox died at 6 12, 6 38 and 6 51 pm respectively as witnesses looked on. Funeral services will be held in Olympia for the trio.
