Dr James J Wingard Dies After Illness at 58
Prominent Lexington physician and farmer Dr James J Wingard died Monday of heart trouble at 58. Born near Chapin March 8 1864 he trained at Baltimore College of Physicians and Surgeons and Johns Hopkins before practicing in Lexington since 1896. Survived by wife Emily Fox Wingard and four children, funeral held Tuesday at St Stephen’s Church with several local clergy and community leaders attending.
