Jailer Kleckley reports six prisoners confined at his county jail. Five are charged with different crimes and await January court term. one serves a feral sentence. Of the five, three are white and two are negroes.

Ten-Year-Old Bertha Ricard Dies at Home

Bertha Ricard, daughter of Mr and Mrs Sidney Ricard, died at her parents home near Emanuel church aged 10 years 10 months and 20 days. She was baptised in infancy and a faithful attendee of catechetical and Sunday school classes, always paying special attention to her instructor. A dutiful and loving child is mourned.
