Nebraska Class of 1948 Preparations Include Plays and Parades
Fifty five young people and sponsors traveled to Lincoln for a weekend ree in which Nebraska beat Iowa 19 to 15. They stopped in Beatrice for lunch and a show. The Junior class plans rehearsal for Just Ducky with a date set for Oct 26. Diller High School eyes Memoire with English Dept sponsorship and Mohawk teachers attended a Jefferson County Teachers meeting in Fairbury. A school band is forming with 30 students under Kenney Knowles. Handel's Messiah will be performed by the High School Chorus on Dec 16.

Diller Edges Odell In Tight High School Baseball Game
Diller edges Odell 6 to 5 in a tight contest. Green started on the mound but was relieved by Herman Harding due to a stiff arm. Odell pitchers were Heaston and Vitosh. Diller rallied in the fifth inning with three walks two doubles a triple and a sacrifice to produce six runs.

Awards Listed From Gaga County Fair Include Angus and Sheep
Loren Grone and Melvin Hubka won multiple ribbons at the Gaga County Fair. Loren Grone received a blue and a red ribbon for his Angus project, while Melvin Hubka earned one purple, four blue, five red, and three white ribbons for his sheep project. Freshman girls will be honored by the Y teens at a city park picnic tonight with a short program after supper, followed by singing and games.
