The Diller Woman's Club held a September 29 reception at the Hill for teachers from Diller Schools ministers and new members. Mrs. E Weigel welcomed guests. Music by Karen Long Carol Romish Evelyn Hays Bobby Hays and Melvin Hubka. Ice breaker games community singing and an illustrated travel talk by Miss Ratzaff followed by refreshments.

Joreen Kisling Weds Rev Theodore Moehring at St Pauls
The wedding of Joreen Kisling daughter of Mr and Mrs George Kisling to Rev Theodore Moehring son of Rev and Mrs Rodolph Moehring was solemnized September 25 at 2 00 PM at St Paul Lutheran Church. The bride wore a white slipper satin gown with a pearl tiara and carried a white bible. The groom serves as pastor of St Paul Lutheran in Diller, Nebraska. A reception followed at the city hall. The couple will reside in Diller. Two Beatrice businessmen E L Tevelone and Bayard Knox died this week with Knox dying after injuries from a traffic accident south of Lincoln.

Tuxhorn Family Reunion Draws Nebraska Kansas Descendants
About 20 descendants of the John Tuxhorn family from Nemaha Johnson and Jefferson counties Nebraska and Smith County Kansas gathered at Fairbury City Park on Sunday October 3rd. Attendees from Diller included Mrs Weers the oldest present and her four sons and families. Afternoon guests were Mr and Mrs Bernhardt of Diller and Mr and Mrs Geo Willieme of Fairbury.

The village and school boards cooperate to revive band activity in Diller selecting Kenney Knowles of Be atrice as director. Thirty plus high school students attend the first meeting with plans to form a town band later. Previous municipal bands faded as players moved on and a new organization is being built with time.
