J D Fanders took a business trip to Wymore on Monday. Several residents attended the Beatrice Fall Festival including J H Logan W N Sparks and families and Mrs G B Cassell suffered bruises after a cellar fall. Rev Schaedel returned from Germany via Diller. Bankers meetings and a comet seen near the big dipper are noted alongside births and local sales.

Alfred Oaks plans a public sale of personal effects today at his father E. F. Oaks residence one mile north of Shea. Beatrice auctioneer Col. J. B. Wright will conduct the sale as Oaks prepares to move to Minnesota.
Sunday schedule lists Neutrality program at 4 p m for Junior C E and a missionary topic. Evening union service at the M E church. Ladies aid society to host annual Fair and Supper on October 31 in City hall.
