Rev W N Gillis attended Nebraska City presbytery meeting in York. Miss Mary Elfen Line returned to Peru to resume studies at the state normal. Miss Ina Riners left for York after visiting at J D Fandera home. Rev E S Grimes traveled to Fremont for the M E church conference. C E Githens will move his family from Oklahoma to work in Greider's barber shop. Presbyterian ladies plan a coterie event at Mrs Anna C Diller's home on Sept 24. A D Stotts attended the funeral of W W Wright in Beatrice conducted by Masonic lodge.
Found two auto tubes at this office for inquiry. Inspect Miss Ballard’s 5 and 10 cent counters. New Kamo Pancake Flour sold in 10 and 25 cent packages on new Sorghum at Loock and Habicht. Mr and Mrs 0 F Rigdon and son Tom visited between trains with Odell relatives. Mrs Marie Habicht and daughter Mrs C L E Blauser returned from Colorado outing.
Clyde Hutchinson and family came back last Friday after visiting relatives in St. Joseph Missouri and Fairfield Indiana. Miss Florence Meyer, who stayed a week with Mrs. Henry Weers and family, returned Sunday to her home near Auburn in Nemaha county.
A spectacle case containing a pair of gold bowed glasses was lost about ten days ago between Wrigley’s grain office and the crib behind Hale’s office. Finder should leave it at the Record office.
The community is well represented at the state university this year with eight Diller High School graduates in attendance Kenneth Fouts Henry Fouts Jas Fairbank Jorden Sanmann Harrison Line Earl Snyder Will Diller Edwin Reinhart.
Good clean alfalfa seed for sale offered by J. H. Logan. Iceland noted as a calm land during crisis. F. E. Hale shipped a mixed car load to St. Joe market for the shipping association. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Anderson visited relatives in southern Kansas and returned Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Treick and children returned from a vacation to Wisconsin and South Dakota. Miss Lulu Bausch, Beatrice business college student, stayed with her mother in the city. Mrs. H. E. Green and children move back to Diller from Lincoln where they ran a rooming house. U P S C E of the Christian church announces another home cooking sale at Miss Ballard’s Millinery and Nation store on Saturday afternoon and evening, Sept. 28.
Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Mayborn and their children traveled to Lincoln on Tuesday. Mrs. Mayborn and the children visited relatives while Mr. Mayborn attended the Nebraska Bankers Association meeting in Omaha.
Miss Anna M. Eisenhaur of Gladstone married Mr. Henry Seiboldt of Diller at the groom’s parents home. The couple will reside on the C F Smith farm three miles southeast of Diller next year after Seiboldt completes study at Columbia College and Nebraska state medical college in Omaha. Louie Sanmann plans to enter Columbia College in New York for a two year medical course supplementing prior study.
Mr. Harry Weddle and Miss Ruby Barber wed in Lincoln last Wednesday while visiting the state fair. They plan to reside on a farm three miles west of Diller, currently occupied by A. J L Hutchinson, who will move to Geo Sphecht’s farm three miles northwest of town next year.
Beatrice Express reports Judge Pemberton annulled the marriage between Charles W. Gerrish and a woman described as feeble minded following a picnic in Diller and a later ceremony in Fairbury. Gerrish had sought habeas corpus previously to gain possession of his bride.

The K. K. K's met Wednesday afternoon at Mrs. Hartzell's home. Two new members were welcomed and a dainty two course luncheon was served by the hostess.
S. J. Clark visited here with his parents Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Clark and returned Wednesday to Lincoln from which place he is firing on the Concordia branch of the Burlington.
Frank Harman recently traveled from Diller to Perry Oklahoma and noted the town’s improvements during a visit with relatives. He stopped at the home of Mrs. Frank Pospisil and planned to meet old acquaintances before heading back to Oklahoma.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Price travelled to Omaha on Sunday to visit relatives and friends and to attend the state meeting of the bankers association, which Mr. Price expected to attend.
W G Robertson brought a sample of yellow dent field corn grown on his mother's farm 34 miles southwest of Diller. Four ears weighed five pounds and measured 44 inches long with circumferences around 7.75 inches. The seed came from Green and Diller and was shipped from Blair Nebraska.
