Obituary: Frank A Wieths of Diller Neb Dies at 52

Frank Arthur Wieths born January 13 1860 on Arsenal Island Rock Island Illinois dies September 13 1912 at his Diller Nebraska home from appendicitis after a brief illness. He leaves a wife two daughters and a son Vieths Hilda Arthur and other relatives. Funeral held at First Presbyterian Diller with lodge rites. He was a longtime A O U W member and helped run the annual fraternal picnic. Also mentions Farmers State Bank of Plymouth opening with stockholder G F Wildhaber.

Rainfall total near Diller reached 0.57 inches last Thursday night, aiding pasture revival and full fall plowing and seeding.

Misses Minnie and Rachel Kuper of Humboldt Nebr are visiting with Mrs Bausch and other Diller friends. Mrs Allie Stevens of Wymore visited in Diller from Saturday evening till Sunday noon the guest of her friend Mrs Mary Miller. An item which escaped last week was the return of Miss Adeline Miller to Lincoln where she is teaching her second year in the city schools. Lucky Bills show will give an exhibition in Diller next Monday. Dan Grettinger went Monday to resume his studies in Hastings College. Deputy Sheriff Pat Shea and his brother John from Oklahoma were in town Monday. B F Lightner drove his car to Beatrice yesterday after Mrs Eunice Scott who came to visit a few days with Diller relatives and friends. A marriage license was issued by the county judge at Beatrice Wednesday for the marriage of Lawrence H Madden 23 and Miss Clara Wood 21 both of Diller.

Methodist conference reshuffles pastors at Diller and Rock Creek

The Beatrice conference adjourned and moved Rev Maxcy from Diller and Rock Creek to Shickley, while Rev W L Hadsell from Hubbell takes those charges. Maxcy is well liked and will depart tomorrow. Hadsell and family arrive Saturday to begin services at Diller. Other ministers reassigned include A B Grossman Fairfield A E Chadwick Douglas H F Huntington Pawnee City S F Walker McCool. R N Drill remains district superintendent for another year.

Presbyterian Ladies Coterie to Meet at Mrs. Raymond's
