Missie TM Novotny and family of Fairbury and Mr and Mrs Rudolph Novotny with two daughters visited Missie TM Novotny's sister Mrs Otto Wenz and family in Diller Nebr over the weekend. Harold Novotny and two daughters of Fairbury spent the weekend with his mother in Steele City.

Mrs Matilda Glather received word this week that Sgt Robert Glathar has arrived in Fort Lewis Washington to join his wife and baby after returning from Germany. He once planned to go to China but orders brought him home. He met Georgis Lee, his baby daughter, whom he had not seen, and plans to visit in San Francisco. Meanwhile relatives and friends, including Gayle Cally and Mr and Mrs Harry Deck of Osceola Iowa, traveled and welcomed him home. Teased with upcoming show Adventures of Tom Sawyer at Diller, and noting Miss Bartha Wenz starts school duties at Plymouth.
A Sunday dinner picnic held at Beatrice park honored Mrs Gerd Henrich Sr. Attendees included Mrs Bachar Cart, Clarence and Alice, Henry Saathfort and Sea family, Mr and Mrs Emil DeBoer, RODA, Mr and Mrs Gerd Henrich Jr, Mrs Marie Schmidt, Charles Schneider of Plymouth, and Calvin Prybil of Beatrice.
