Diller Public Schools Begin Week With Full Teacher Staff
Diller Public Schools open Monday September 8 with a complete staff. Superintendent J. K. Varney leads the district with Principal Mies Vesta Thorngate and teachers Mary Stiers, Mae Deck Hiatt, Alice Richards in the high school. Elementary teachers include Eleanor Weigel, Imogene Weaver, and Flossie Raymond. Hot lunch program continues as last year and the district looks forward to a successful year.

A hail storm with high winds struck Diller and surrounding areas around 7 30 Tuesday evening. It damaged farms including carp and alfalfa fields gardens windmills and buildings while breaking window lights and damaging roofs. The storm trail ran four to six miles wide and about 26 miles long moving northeast across Gage County from west of Diller to east of Holmesville.
