G C Roesman a former resident of the Oilier vicinity now lives in Fullerton California says there has not been enough rain to halt horseshoe pitching. He reports they broke a dozen Gordens this year and once made 26 ringers in five 21 point games. Fern Lottman and Bill Beamish enjoyed a three week auto trip to Wyoming visiting relatives in Nebraska and meeting old friends in Lingle and Cozad before returning home.

A new gas line carries fuel from Oklahoma fields to Chicago 1400 miles away at about three miles per hour through a 24 inch welded pipe. A Des Moines branch serves Minneapolis and St Paul as six oil firms cooperated on the project and railroads fear new transportation rivals.
