Individuals including W M Henrichs and C H Cully list items for sale while others report social visits and travel notes involving J W Foote Herb Ruhland and the Waggoners with references to Lincoln and the Nebraska Iowa game.
Democratic voters in Pleasant Precinct meet Friday at 8:00 PM in City Hall Diller Nebraska to place in nominations a precinct ticket. Clark is listed as a precinct official.
Carl Sandman of Swift and Co. visited family in Diller after leaving Sioux City. The Diller Lincoln club gathered at Mrs. C. L. E B. Bleuser’s home on Friday, enjoying autumn floral decor and guessing games amid a business session led by Mrs. A. D. Stotts and Mrs. Lon.
Dr. Claude Bilis has received a letter from the wife of Dr. Harry Bauguess a former Detroit resident. He was knocked down by an assailant last week at their home in Detroit Michigan and has since suffered partial bowel injuries with a slow recovery.
Barrel and oil deliveries requested for Diller Filling Station. Box Holle installed a radio for A A Eick last week. White Leghorn roosters Ferris Strain for sale by W M Henrichs. Mahlon Wolken moving material for a hog house from Cornbelt Yard at Diller. Mrs Leslie Sparks of Linden Wyoming and Mrs Garfield Nida of Steele City visited Mrs Catlett Tuesday. Henry Asendorf from Fairbury reroofed his building used by Sam Thompson for storage.
Bright clean coal advertised for furnaces and stoves with a chance to win free coal. An office contest invites guesses on a large lump. Also reports Mr and Mrs Frank Cully and Charley Cully with Sherm Cully returning from an auto trip visiting relatives in North Platte and plans to stay in Diller for a time.
Two new fifty ton steel bridge girders were received at Endicott to replace a wooden bridge over Rose Creek that collapsed when a tractor and several clay-laden vehicles plunged into flood waters. The Fairchilds Clay Products plant uses the bridge to transfer clay from a distant pit to its mills, with the engineer narrowly escaping death during the collapse.
B B Kensington met with Mrs. Francis Wallace on September 28 for an event featuring two acts. Mrs. Barnett organized a short humorous play and Mrs. Hill arranged a pantomime, performed by Hill, Barnett, Moffitt, Weigel, Angell, and Marstellar.
J E Copeland of Beatrice visited the city on business. Dr Adams, successor to Dr Garland, offers eye exams. Lost saddle blanket between Mrs Kuper’s and my pasture. Beatrice residents Mr and Mrs J A Cully and C Hr Cully visited. A J Ellison travels 64 miles south west to fetch materials for a poultry house. Phillip Taddiken and Mrs Katherina Frericks attended the Henry Field broadcasting station visit in Shenandoah Iowa. Henrys and Wiemers brothers showed Hampshire and Chester White stock at Blue Rapids Kansas fair and won premiums. Mr and Mrs Cully of Gage Oklahoma and Frank Cully with Charley Cully and George Cunningham dined with Isaac Saylor’s family.
Jor den Sanman traded his Nash touring car for a Hudson coach while in Lincoln to better cover the 39th district during his campaign for state representative. The text also notes the death of a 15 day old infant by paralysis while visiting relatives at Superior.
The M W A meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. H Z Diller of Lincoln visited Sunday at the home of his brother in law and sister Mr and Mrs Willis Clerk and returned home Monday morning. He was employed last week at Marthis Mesat Market in Fairbury.

Mrs Harry Thompson entertained on Tuesday October fifth for her son Maxs fourth birthday. Many children attended the outdoor party and played games while Max admired his birthday gifts. The table featured a cake lit with pink candies as the centerpiece.
