Names cited are J L Henrichs and wife, Alex Bell and four daughters Maude Beasté Grace and Celia, plus Mr and Mrs Anderson and Mr and Mrs Calvin Bell. They are returning home to Iowa and Pennsylvania after a pleasant visit.
8S. C. Hutchinson purchases two business lots on Commercial Avenue between Briggs' lumber yard and Pickard's blacksmith shop from Jas. A. Bodell for 270 dollars and plans a 40 by 50 foot livery barn with basement for 30 horses. His brother A. J. Hutchinson will run the updated livery operation.
The winter course planned in Diller was called off because no hall is available. The writer questions the town’s failure to host high quality entertainments in its opera house and urges action to resolve the lack of a suitable venue.

Rev Juo Cox of Wake Arkansas states he suffered yellow jaundice for twelve years after seeing many doctors he began using Electric Bitters and now says he is cured. The ad claims the medicine cures liver kidney stomach and general debility and is guaranteed by Spear Drug Co for fifty cents.
The wife of Milton Fisher, formerly of the Ross farm near Diller, died Monday morning around 8 from an overdose of laudanum, a habit she reportedly had. Neely and Gritzka could offer no relief. After a short service at the house led by a Baptist minister from Hollenberg, Kan., the body was shipped Wednesday to Falls City for burial. Mrs. Fisher, about 25, was well regarded by many acquaintances who accompanied the funeral procession to the station.
A 1904 wedding at the Oaks home north of town united Mertie Elvestra Diller and Silas Roy Diller. The ceremony at six o'clock featured a simple but impressive service, with guests enjoying music, congratulations, and a modest reception afterward.
