Man Returns From North With 80 Acre Minnesota Wisconsin Farm

Billy Tristman returned Wednesday from Minnesota and Wisconsin. He bought 80 acres about fifty miles east of Ogilvie Minnesota where C W Tonnemaker lives across the St Croix River in Wisconsin. He reports an immense corn crop this year.

Farm couple plans Boise relocation and winter trip

Diller resident E. 8. Diller returned Saturday from a business trip to Alexandria. Next week features a big showing of latest ladies coats by Loock and Habicht and Jack Clancy. In Peoria Illinois last Friday a brother-in-law of Clancy died. Rev. C. W. F. King will preach at the Presbyterian church in Diller next Sunday morning.

Electric lighting to reach Diller village soon

The village board grants a twenty year franchise to Marysville parties for electric lights. An ordinance with full terms including the street lighting contract is published in this issue. Transmission lines work will start soon and the system should operate within sixty days.

Degree of Honor Holds 25th Anniversary Meeting

The Degree of Honor met at Mrs. Mary Miller's home to observe the 25th anniversary. A refreshments committee served a delicious repast. Mrs. Miller resigned as Chief of Honor and Mrs. S F Clark was elected to finish the year. Mrs. Ada Cully was chosen Lady of Honor to fill the vacancy for this year's work.

Reverend J R Smith Arrives With Family In Parsonage

Rev J R Smith and family arrived Saturday from Bartley with their car load of belongings and are now residence at the Methodist parsonage. He delivered his first sermon at Chiter Sunday morning and again in the evening making a good impression. He will preach at Rock Creek church next Sunday morning.

Reception Honors Mr and Mrs Will Henrichs at Henrichs Home

Last Friday evening a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Henrichs to honor Mr. and Mrs. Will Henrichs. Rock and music provided entertainment while pink and white carnations decorated the rooms. Refreshments included ice cream cake and punch, with guests Pearl Bausch and families and the Shutt and Henrichs families in attendance.
