Family visits after accident leave matriarch unable to work

Mrs Sophie Mathias and her granddaughter Pearl Fasnach traveled to Beatrice on Friday to assist Mrs John Fasnacht who had injured her hand with a needle driven to the bone and was nearly unable to perform household chores.

Mrs. E J Catlett received Prof Wilber Emmert former Diller teacher now in Indiana a letter detailing the murder of his brother Burt Emmert on November 11 in a Chicago petny store. Two men shot him one bullet lodged in his body while he lay unconscious and died en route to the hospital. Unclear whether assassins were captured or motive determined.

Leg Break For Diller Man In Tractor Accident

John Pulec suffered a broken leg when a tractor driven by county patrolman Oliver Farrow rolled over his exposed limb as he worked under a car in his driveway. Despite the injury the leg later protruded, the wheel avoided total loss of the limb, and Dr. Diehl expects crutches in four to six weeks with no fault assigned.

Davenport Woman Dies After Illness at Home

Mrs. Jane M. Seaman widow of W H Seaman died at her Davenport home after a lingering illness. Born February 24 1856 in Scott County Iowa she was one of thirteen children. She married W H Seaman September 23 1874 who died November 14 1916. She was a Presbyterian and active in the W C T U. Surviving sisters and relatives include Mrs J L Seaman Davenport Mrs Elbert Van Evera Mrs R A Meey and others in Davenport Fairfield and Keetg.

Obituary of Dene Renelda Lohmeyer Hicken

Dene Renelda Lohmeyer Hicken, born January 8, 1888 in Diller Nebraska, died November 18 1928 after an operation at L D S hospital. She married Fred J Lohmeyer on September 2 1918 and lived near Chiler before moving to Idaho Falls Idaho in 1917. Funeral services were at the First Presbyterian Church with interment in New Sweden cemetery. she leaves a husband two children three sisters one sister or half sister one half brother her father in law and several cousins.
