Scott Miller visited home from Camp Funston with his mother. A baby boy weighing eight pounds was born to Mr and Mrs S C Culmpston ten miles northeast of Diller on November 24.

A grandson traveled to Indiana then Burkeville Virginia to visit his wife and two sons. President Wilson urges college sports to continue

President Wilson expresses hope that college athletic programs remain active for public morale and national defense. He says sports help keep young men physically fit to potentially replace military-age peers. First basketball game of the season for boys and one Diller High School will be played soon. Cherry Upson Wedding At Beatrice Home

Mr and Mrs Earl Pearce and family traveled from Beatrice to attend the wedding of her brother Orville Cherry and Adelaide Upson at the bride s home at 3 o clock Thursday afternoon with Rev Carmony officiating. The couple will start housekeeping on the groom s farm near Diller two miles southeast, a neatly furnished setup provided by W A Cherry.
