Funeral Rites For Local Resident Martin Frerichs
Martin Frerichs a respected Sarsste died Tuesday night November 19 1912 near Diller Nebraska aged 60 years six months and eighteen days after illness of typhus and lung disease. Born March 1 1852 in Letzdorf Germany he came to the United States in 1882 and settled in Jefferson County. He married Aleid De Fries in 1889 producing six children and after his first wife’s death wed Katharina Seggerman November 22 1911. He leaves a wife six children and many relatives. Funeral services were held at his home and St Paul’s in Prairie Home cemetery.
