Death of Martin Frericks After Typhoid and Pneumonia

Martin Frericks died about 10 o'clock Tuesday night at his home three miles northwest of Diller from pneumonia following typhoid. He was 61 or 62 and had lived near Diller about 25 years. Funeral will be Saturday at 1 o'clock from the residence.

Auto load of Fairbury youths wreck car at local slaughter house

An auto caravan from Fairbury consisting mainly of young women crashed into a barbed wire fence at the Diller Brog slaughter house on Sunday afternoon, breaking the windshield. It then struck a telephone pole near Geo Henrichs causing disabling damage, forcing the car to be abandoned overnight.
