The vault features a double electrical steel lining and is guaranteed to resist burglary and protect contents. A demonstration will be given Saturday afternoon December 3 by the company expert. attendees are invited.
Professor W H Head and Jefferson County Commissioner Shepherd found a two foot vein of coal exposed by a bluff on Coal Creek. They tested samples at home and found the coal burned well with a red ash. Indications suggest a sizable vein extending back from the bluff face.

Mrs Neely born Myrtle Gertrude Smethers on June 14 1876 joined Church of Christ at Lanham Nebraska at 17 and lived a devout life. She married Dr J G Neely in March 1895 and moved to Diller from New Market Iowa two years ago. She died on November 20 after seven months illness with a funeral at the home led by Elder Hain and floral tributes including a wreath from the Degree of Honor A D U W. Relatives from Denver Beatrice Lanham New Market Clarinda and Beatrice Nebraska attended.
