Neighbors Club Meets at Mrs Dan Novotny Home

The Neighbors Club gathered November 9 at Mrs. Dan Novotny’s home to hear the second part of the Breakfast Lesson. A Christmas party is planned December 14 at Mrs. Harry Vitosh’s home with a guest invite and gift exchange. Members attended the Gage Co. Achievement Day in Beatrice November 12.

Village notice hires Kenneth Knowles as public band instructor

The village board announces Kenneth Knowles will lead the public band program with sessions each Monday night at city hall. Beginners and advanced players are welcome. Clerk G. Weather shifts to cool, bright days with a full moon

The past week brought moderate conditions with daytime highs in the upper sixties on Sunday and in the fifties at night. Tuesday and Wednesday were cooler, but days stayed bright with snowy spells and a full moon at night.

Mr and Mrs June Snider renounced the marriage of their daughter Donna Lee to Sybil Fasnacht son of Mr and Mrs Albert Fasnacht. The marriage took place Sunday Oct 17 in Denver Cole. Both graduates of Diller School. They will marry.

Wolkens Buy Sasse Home in Saturday Auction

Ed Wolkens bought the Sasse home at auction for 2325 dollars. The Wolkens plan to rest from the farm. The sale drew a large crowd and involved household goods and wood prices.
