Legion Auxiliary Meeting Seeks Hall Improvements
The American Legion Auxiliary held its monthly meeting on October 25. Gifts for the Lincoln Gift Shop, including blouses and aprons, were collected. Plans to beautify the Legion hall were discussed. The meeting adjourned with barbecued hamburgers and coffee served.

Funeral held for Mrs Harriet Barton at Diller
Services were conducted at the Waggoner funeral home for Mrs Harriet Barton who died Tuesday evening in Diller. She was eight and a resident of Diller for sixty years, survived by three daughters Jenny Windsor Minneapolis Eule Kaline and Bernice Hadeon of Diller a son William Barton Reynolds seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A film Seeds of Destiny from the War Department will be shown Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Methodist church.

Rain and Winds Hit Diller With Snow First of Season
Weather in Diller brought an inch and a half of rain last Thursday and Friday with high winds. A trace of snow fell Tuesday night marking the season's first snow. Temperature dropped to 40s on Tuesday night. A school cafeteria dinner honored residents with fall birthdays including Alfred Saese and several others. City crews installed a new electric jet water pump at the south well due to a leaking old pipe, with the old pump to be moved to another well to keep Diller’s system automatic.
