Mrs Green Returns From Lincoln After S A T C Visit
Mrs H E Green traveled from Lincoln where her son Everett Green joined the S A T C at the State University and underwent a double operation for rupture at Dr Everettts hospital. He is recovering well and expected to be released soon. She also saw Curtis Geer in the same hospital recovering from a broken leg after a fall from a telephone pole in Fairbury and hoped to return next week.

Authentic word arrived after 4 am that Germany and the Allies signed an armistice. A half holiday was declared and a ratification meeting held at the opera house. The crowd overflowed, with music by the high school orchestra and readings. Speeches praised the cause and a tar burn of Kaiser ashes closed the night.
