He was shucking corn at noon when the horses frightened and began to run car. He left a wife and one son. Funeral held last Friday at Chester.
Mr and Mrs John Pulee moved toward Fullerton last Saturday where their future home and the Krebs family hauled their household goods. Lester Strawhacker took over the Barnsdall service station lease recently and began duties last Saturday. John Pulee returned to Diller to oversee an upcoming sale.
Mrs. Wrigley of Lincoln spent last week visiting relatives in Diller and at the home of her son John Wrigley near Harbine. Her granddaughter Mrs. Lochser and husband from Omaha also visited the Wrigleys.
Sunday evening message informs Rev and Mrs Wagner of their mother’s serious illness in Warrenton Missouri. Mrs Wagner left at once for Warrenton. A letter received earlier in the week said the afflicted party was somewhat improved.
LaSalle Methodist church in west Beatrice undergoes repairs valued at 1500 following a basement fire. The church will be rededicated on November 28 to mark the 50th anniversary of the original dedication.
Mr and Mrs George Specht and Alice drove to Endicott Tuesday to visit Wayne Alonzo born to Mr and Mrs Ralph Specht and Alma Anderson on Wednesday November 3rd.

Herman Niemeier of Bremen Kansas faced a county court in Marysville after being accused by J E Geistfeld of using tax exempt gasoline in a car. Judge P R Pulleine fined Niemeier twenty five dollars plus five dollars costs for the guilty plea. Geistfeld said he will prosecute others buying untaxed fuel for farm use and then using it in passenger vehicles, warning it robs state highway funds.
