Fred Sandman Dies Suddenly at 63 in Nebraska Farm Yard
Fred Sandman, 63, collapsed from a heart attack Saturday about 11 am in his yard one half mile north of Harbine. He had been in poor health, lived on the family farm for years, and is survived by his widow and six children William Sandman Carl Sandman George Sandman and daughters Mrs Schmidt Mrs Hache and Mrs Blasser. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 pm at the family home and 2:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church north of Diller.

Wymore Lyric theatre fire causes heavy losses
A fire Sunday night destroyed the Lyric theatre in Wymore with an estimated $20 000 loss to building and contents. The blaze began in the film booth at about 11 pm as patrons were leaving. Nearby stores suffered smoke and water damage. Owner Mrs R C Markle and manager R C Small with wife escaped unharmed, losing furniture and personal effects. The theatre will be rebuilt after insurance adjustment.

Cling McCanles Dead Jefferson County Pioneer Passes At 82
Cling McCanles longtime Jefferson County resident died Sunday at 7 a m November 1 at Fairbury clinic age 82 survived by sister Elizabeth McCanles. They lived near Endicott most of 77 years since 1859. Funeral Wednesday at Bodicott Church conducted by Rev Filnger. Burial in Fairbury family lot beside father David C McCanles related to Rock Creek tragedy of 1861. He spoke Otoe language and joined buffalo hunts with Indians and once performed an Indian war dance at a 50th anniversary parade.
