Mrs Mary F Diehl mother of Dr O C Diehl of this city died Tuesday evening at her home 1217 D St Fairbury after a two week illness She was born in Illinois in 1845 and moved to Nebraska in 1892 She would have been 79 on June 4 Short funeral services will be held at the house at 2 p m this afternoon and interment will be made in the new cemetery at Beatrice where her late husband and other family members are buried

Memorial services will be at the M. E. church next Sunday morning with Rev. Clark giving the address assisted by Rev. Pengelly. Veterans and wives Sons of Veterans S W V and wives and W W Veteran and wives are asked to meet at city hall Sunday at 10 30 and again Friday May 30 at 1 o'clock for Decoration day services. Rev. Pengelly to speak at the cemetery. Flowers for graves should be brought to city hall with Miss Ballard and Mrs. Myers in charge assisted by the flower girls.

Baccalaureate Service for Class of ’24 Held at Opera House
The baccalaureate service for the D. H. S. class of 1924 drew a large crowd Sunday evening at the opera house. The stage featured class colors with the students seated in reserved spots.
