June 4 to 8 marks the Diller Chautauqua with community picnics on August 13 and 14. Junior-Senior Banquet Baccalaureate and Commencement are noted along with garden and sale items. Green family plans Lincoln visit with daughterskin

Mr and Mrs R W Green and daughter Norma Frances plan a trip by car to Lincoln to visit Norma’s sister Mrs Ray Coleman and family. They will be joined home by Norma’s maternal grandmother Mrs Sarah Witty who traveled with Mr and Mrs Limprecht on Sunday.

Village of Diller Acquires Lots for Park from Lincoln Land Co

Jefferson county real estate transfers show Lincoln Land Co to the village of Diller eight parcels in blocks 2 and 3 totaling 250 dollars. Fannie Dymacek sells lots 15 and 16 in block 2 to the village of Diller for 40 dollars. The parcels were acquired for park purposes where trees were recently planted.

A. Mayborn traveled to Omaha on Tuesday and purchased several carloads of feeding cattle for buyers in the Diller region near Fairbury Nebraska. The deal reflects ongoing regional cattle movements dating back to the 1886 establishment.

Miss Gertrude Lambert returned Friday after a four week visit to Illinois Iowa and Lincoln Nebraska. She toured Mark Twins boyhood home in Hannibal and Abraham Lincolns home and tomb in Springfield along with the Salem village tied to Ann Rutledge. She found graves of her ancestors in Northern Illinois and said the trip felt like stepping from today into yesterday.

They left at 4 a m in autos and toured Steele City Endicott Fairbury McDowell's park Sandy Nook Beatrice and Odell with meals and a senior class play to conclude the night.
