Four Diller Boys Return from France Service
Four Diller men who served in World War I in France reach home this week. Everett Blauser served in Co. C 120th Field Artillery. Earl Snyder was with Battery D 121st Field Artillery 67th Brigade. Memorial Day plans call for special exercises at the Diller Opera House and a Memorial Sunday on May 25 followed by a major observance on May 30. Rev. Shallenbager will deliver the address, with flowers urged for grave decorations. Reports from the Centenary drive show many churches in the conference over their quotas. Locally a personal canvass is under way with strong responses and pledges for the Retired Minister's Fund to Lincoln. Memorial Sunday services are planned at the Opera house at 11 30 and a Methodist church service at 8 30 with a special invitation for soldiers.
