Diller Garden Club April Meeting and Local News
The Diller Garden club met at Mrs Clara Allen’s home last Friday afternoon with a full roll call and officer elections. Members planned a flower garden project north of the Weigel gas station while sharing a lesson on bulbs and making flowers from discarded silk. Also noted were St Pal church events with Rev Carlson and Rev Jansen promoting missionary work, a 96th Nebraska Congregational Conference gathering in Lincoln, and local residents’ comings and goings including postal carrier Scott Miller and air force enlistee Lawrence Richardson. A church basket dinner, flooded basement, and Boys and Girls State junior selections were mentioned along with community ads for local products and remedies.
