Mr. R. D. McClure of Black Bros. feed department and Bill Stambaugh general solicitor visited Diller yesterday to begin John Steiner’s duties as elevator manager. They stopped at the Record office, prompting an ad on another page.

German Farmer Frank Wandersee Dies at 84 Near Beatrice
Frank Wandersee 84 a German born farmer living about a mile west of the Midway oil station south of Beatrice died unexpectedly last Friday evening at his home. He came to the United States at 19 and bought his Beatrice area home in 1877. He built a cottonwood log first house and later a more commodious one later modernized by the newspaper editor. Funeral services were held Tuesday at St Johns Lutheran church Beatrice with burial at Blue Springs.

Dorcas Class Kensington met in church parlors on Thursday afternoon March 18. Mrs. Francis Clark and Miss Flora Worthen attended. Mrs. Moser led devotions and contests provided afternoon diversion. Individual prizes went to Mrs Kieth Hays and Mrs Francis Clark. group prizes rewarded captains Mrs Carrico and Mrs Francis Clark. A lunch was served by committee led by Mrs Fred Clark Mrs Rex Green Mrs Harry Close and Mrs Mary Kurtz.
