Almanac notes spring begins next Tuesday while Dr Leach of Fairbury comments on the Plowent Disc Harrow. Local arrivals departures business and social items include Mrs Thiebolt and Mrs Nelsons family moves, Columbian Entertainers at Lopock's hall, Neeley Pharmacy promotions, cattle transfer from Diller farm, Lichty family relocation, and several property and lodge notices.
The note references Trenton Missouri coal and Pennsylvania hard coal. It also gives a phone courtesy line advising callers to identify themselves before delivering a message.

The town meeting again discusses a town hall in Diller. Most speakers favor the project and it will be voted on at the spring election. A one story brick or stone building about thirty feet square with basement is proposed for use including caucuses elections justice court jail and public meetings. Costs are uncertain but expected to be within affordable bond limits.
Eugene S. Diller and Miss Hattie Sparks wed at the bride's parents home last Tuesday in a quiet family ceremony. Reverend J. H. Westervelt officiated as Belle Sparks led the wedding march. reception followed with a dining room meal. The couple departed Wednesday on a wedding tour through the south amid best wishes from the community.
Mrs J Scholle from Lincoln won the bid to lease the Colman hotel after her husband sold his Lincoln property. She brings hotel experience and five daughters to assist. the hotel is planned to open for business around April.
James E. Taylor, 22, formerly of Diller Nebraska, died instantly at Bliss Oklahoma when a Santa Fe freight car door crushed his head during yard switching. He was returning to take possession of a family farm near Bliss. A coroner's inquest attributed death to gross neglect of the employer. Funeral planned at Bliss school house with Dunkard minister.
Diller in Gage county mourns a local family's loss as Nebraska friends express deep regret and sympathy for the bereaved parents and siblings after the fatal incident involving their son and brother.
The Columbia Entertainers present a final season entertainment with Miss Fisher Shupp reader and soprano, Mrs. Etta Goode Heacock contralto, and Lloyd A. Loar mandolin, promising a cultured, refined program. Diller audience urged to attend March 16 with tickets at Spear Drug store.
