Seede Wiemers sent hogs by carload on Tuesday. Forest Hartzel received cattle from Kansas City for his feed yards on Saturday. The village and school primaries are set for March 11. Dean Barber and Robert Bell, state university students, spent the weekend with Diller relatives.
Farmers Store posts a notice asking for the return of borrowed shoe stretchers. Mrs H A Bell visited Friday and Saturday at the home of her son Benford Bell in Lincoln. Mrs Bernice Creekmur of Fairbury visited Mrs Willis Clark and family. Mrs Roy Mansfield of Beatrice aids her mother Mrs Geo Miller recently home from Beatrice hospital after an operation.
Wednesday evening neighbors gathered to surprise Mr. and Mrs. Wessel Schipper as they move to a new home. The event featured social conversation, playing rock, and refreshments brought by guests, with good wishes extended as everyone departed.
Hermann Albers will occupy the J. W. Miller residence on Lavelle street. Noah Handley from west of Steele City transacted business in Diller Saturday.

Mr and Mrs Orville Richardson hosted N R C club members and families at their home near Diller Thursday night. Mrs Margaret Albers won high prize and Mr Will Ames came in second after an evening of visiting and rock playing. A luncheon was served. The next meeting will be with Mr and Mrs Frank Eick on March 7.

Relatives report the death of Mary V Maw wife of Fred Maw former resident of Diller. She died February 14 1930 at a hospital in Boise Idaho.
A daughter weighing 9 pounds was born Monday March 3 to Mr and Mrs Fred Lottman at their home four miles southeast of Diller, with Gertrude Specht as a witness to the birth.

Miss Maxine Colman visited at the home of her uncle and aunt Mr and Mrs Ray Green and with her grandmother Mrs Saratitty before returning to her Lincoln home Sunday. The J N C club met with Mrs Will Kunecke Feb 26 with eleven members and three visitors: Mrs Roy Greider Mrs Arthur Kunecke and Mrs Jennie Upson. The afternoon included visiting and fancy work and refreshments. The next meeting will be with Mrs Rudolph Hubka on Mar 12 with roll call on St Patricks Day.
Twenty five Boy Scouts braved wind and cold to camp southwest of Diller. A flag salute, trail marking, and inscribed rocks marked the trip with Rex Green as originator. Bobby Green’s birthday gathering followed at Green's Cafe with ice cream cake and thanks for a fine cooperative spirit.
