Mrs Clarence Krebs of Diller Nebraska found a two inch hole in a dining room window and a rifle bullet on the far side. The incident prompted caution about firearm safety and the risk of stray bullets when shooting near habitations.
David Scheele, 14, and his sister Dorothy, 13, of Diller, suffered facial and hair burns Sunday when they attempted to rekindle a smoldering fire by tossing kerosene on it. The incident occurred as they tried to speed the flames, with two beef and two peppers mentioned in the account.
